The Client
Bay State Bookkeeping helps small businesses across New England keep their finances organized, stress-free, and tax-ready. They work with businesses from solo entrepreneurs to scaling companies providing guidance for them to meet their business goals.
Project Overview
While their DIY logo and website were great to get their business started, Bay State wanted to invest in professionally designed materials to take their business to the next level and better connect with their clientele.
Logo Design Day
We redesigned Bay States logo as a Logo Design Day session. While we did not want to completely shift away from concept and color palette, we conducted font explorations, designed the primary logo to be more legible, and fine tuned the colors palette.
The circular logo was redesigned to be a secondary mark, more legible, and still provide a dynamic setup.

“I finally feel like I can present myself and my business the way I’ve always wanted. It’s a significant investment, and it requires a lot of trust in the person you choose to work with. Bev’s process not only created a website tailored to my specific needs, but it also allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of my business as a whole.

Website Strategy And Design
The Bay State website underwent a complete redesign, shifting from Wordpress to Squarespace, with all new messaging, photography, and site structure. We revamped the bookkeeping offerings and added a few starter one-time services. We introduced photography that not only represents bookkeeping but of the large variety of business areas that Bay State works with. The about page was significantly added to, not only introducing the owner, but educating potential clients on why businesses should work with a bookkeeper and an FAQ section.
